The Benefits of CBD for Concussions and CTE

Studies have indicated that approximately 1% of the population of developed countries experiences traumatic brain injuries (TBI) every year. This comes in light of a 2011 study that stated that more than half of former NFL players reported using opioids during their career, and 71% of those players reported misusing opioids. CBS Sports reported that Brett Favre took a month’s worth of painkillers in two days and ex-Detroit Lions wide receiver, Calvin Johnson, stated that trainers handed out painkillers “like candy.”

The ability of CBD to aid in the recovery of the brain in CTE, concussion syndromes, and brain injuries stems from the body’s N8 ability to heal and repair brain tissues.
